A group of historians working in the twenty-second century have used the new invention of time travel to bring Macbeth, King of Scotland 1040-57, who was very negatively portrayed in Shakespeare’s play of the same name, into the present day, with the objective of suing Shakespeare for libel. Macbeth addresses a press conference and outlines his case against Shakespeare, by enumerating the many inaccuracies in the play, accusing Shakespeare of the medieval equivalent of tabloid, sensationalist journalism, and correcting and defending his own actions in Scotland, his wise rule and in particular the reputation of his wife.
