Sam is a young kiwi-asian girl stuck in a New Zealand small town and wants to get out, she has big dreams of getting into music school. In this short scene she meets Amy a small minded girl who’s never left the town. They befriend each other after a awkward start and Sam helps her open up about her dreams.

Director Josh Metcalfe -
Josh Metcalfe is an up and coming director, writer and actor. He graduated last year with a Bachelor of Performing and Screen Arts at Unitec. Josh was part of Long Cloud Youth theatre when growing up in Wellington and last year studied abroad with Shanghai Theatre Academy Summer School in a Chinese Opera course. He was also a part of ATC’s Here and Now writers table where he grew his writing skills.
