SHORT + SWEET DANCE
AUCKLAND
Arms of a Dream
Show 2 | 13 – 14 September
-
This piece explores the beginning, middle and end of how Revolutions are inevitably a fundamental part of society due to the constant fight for equality and freedom that is never ultimately obtained. We then become stuck in an endless loop of trading one set of rules for another. Have we ever had free will? Are we controlled by the invisible walls of society? We are taught we can improve ourselves and gain control but what happens when we try? Does choice really exist or is it just an illusion? Does the Revolution just bury our minds instead of freeing them?
