An acting solo derived from an assessment in 2015 created at Pacific Institute of Performing Arts. This solo draws upon Melissa’s life being of being a half cast and the experiences she has encountered in life – racism, abandonment, insecurities and self acceptance.

Director Lauren Jackson -
Lauren works as a playwright, director, filmmaker, actor and drama tutor. She has directed various stage productions for the Pacific Institute of Performing Arts, Smackbang Theatre Company, ATC and Four Afloat Productions She began her career playing the lead in the NZ feature film Alex. Following her graduation from Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School in 2001, Lauren has enjoyed a variety of stage, screen and radio work.
